Maastricht adalah nama salah satu kota di Negara Belanda yang terkenal dengan sejarah dan industri keramik berkelas dunia. salah seorang pengrajin keramik paling kesohor di kota ini adalah Petrus Laurentius Dominicius Regout yang hidup antara tahun 1801-1878. Keindahan seni keramik buatan Maastricht yang memadukan corak keramik Inggris, China dan Timur Jauh ini telah menyebar ke seluruh pelosok dunia termasuk Indonesia yang dibawa oleh kapal dagang VOC dan termasuk komoditi yang laris serta diminati oleh kalangan elit kesultanan dan saudagar kaya di Nusantara.
